Cooling Racks
Cooling racks and steamer racks are essential in any commercial kitchen. From draining excess oil from fried foods, to cooling cakes, cookies and pastries, a cooling rack, often with built in feet, is designed to let air circulate through the holes around the rack, to cool whatever is resting on the rack.
For steaming purposes, our round steamer racks can be used in stock pots to steam fish or vegetables. For steaming, simply add water or other liquids to the bottom of the pot, place the rack inside, then put the desired food on top of the rack. Cover the pot, turn on the heat and, depending on what you are steaming, you will soon have fresh, healthy steamed food. These same steamer rack can also be used as icing and cooling racks.
